Fair Evelyn's Dream
The Annual Breast Cancer Research Foundation dinner/Hot Pink Party
was held this past spring, and this year called “The Hot Pink Party
Celebrates My Fair Evelyn’s Dream.” This was the first year that the
BCRF’s founder was not present. Philanthropist and socialite Evelyn
Lauder of Estee Lauder Co. departed this world in 2011 and this
event was dedicated to her. Evelyn Lauder was tireless activist for
this cause and she has been credited as one of the creators and
popularizes of the pink ribbon as a symbol for awareness of breast
cancer. |
